With heavy hearts, we’re postponing this wonderful concert due to public safety concerns surrounding the transmission of COVID19 in our community. We will announce the new date in the near future.
Please contact info@improvisedarts.ca to speak to us about a refund/credit. We urge you to consider making your ticket purchase a donation to the Vancouver Improvised Arts Society. In these difficult times, independent arts organizations and freelance artists are taking a huge hit with not much hope of financial protection. No questions or judgement, if you’d like a refund for your ticket to March 21st or to obtain a credit toward the next salon, which is scheduled for MAY 23RD, 2020! We know many people in our community are having a hard time right now and we want to support each other as best we can!
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL OUT, HAPPY AND HEALTHY, at FULL BLOOM STUDIOS ON MAY 23RD FOR OUR NEXT INSTALMENT OF THE VIAS SALON SERIES! Stay safe, friends! Vancouver Improvised Arts Society Salon Series #2 Join us on Saturday, March 21st for the second event in our Salon Series. This will be a multidisciplinary night to remember featuring Elisa Thorn on processed harp, Feven Kidane on trumpet/electric bass, Alvaro Rojas on electric guitar, Balot Ne on gamelan sounds, plus very special surprise guests! Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the date. This is going to be a fun one, with a little bit of mischief and a lot of joy! These concerts celebrate the very beginnings of a new performing arts society in Vancouver: the Vancouver Improvised Arts Society. Dedicated to showcasing new artistic works sparked from joyful spontaneous play and to support artists working across mediums to explore, create, and perform within the limitless realm of improvised art, VIAS is poised to be a hub for international and local artists ready to expand and evolve their crafts through experimentation, collaboration, and performance. The VIAS Salon Series, in conjunction with our friends at Studio Full Bloom, is a bi-monthly fundraiser and awareness-raiser for the society, as we prepare for our official launch in the Fall of 2020 when we will host our very first two day festival of all things improvised! Stay tuned
